  • schedule, manage and confirm your bookings,
  • process and respond to your requests and provide you with support, and

We process personal information to:

8. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES.

8.1 Categories.

We use cookies and browser storage (local and session storage). Strictly necessary technologies are always on because the Platform cannot work without them: keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, searches, language and privacy choice, secure payments and fraud prevention, and address search. Performance technologies (Mixpanel analytics and session recordings), which can identify your device and show how you use the Platform, are optional. Targeting technologies, set by our advertising partners to measure and personalise our ads on other websites, are also optional.

8.2 Your Choices by Region.

In Canada and everywhere outside the United States, Performance technologies are off until you allow them in the cookie banner; ignoring the banner means no. In the United States, they are on by default and you can turn them off at any time. Targeting technologies are off everywhere, including the United States, until you allow them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of both everywhere.

8.3 Managing Your Preferences.

Your choice is kept for 12 months, or until we change this Privacy Policy, and you can change it at any time through Privacy preferences, under Resources in the site footer (Support & resources at the bottom of every page). We keep a record of your choice and when you made it. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the Platform may then stop working.

8.4 Cookie Policy.

The full list of the cookies and storage we use, with their purposes and durations, is in our Cookie Policy.

9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS.

Quote n Go operates in Canada and the United States. Our service providers store and process personal information mainly in the United States and Canada, so your personal information may be transferred outside Quebec and outside Canada, where it may be accessible to the courts and authorities of those countries. Before transferring personal information outside Quebec, we assess the privacy risks and ensure, through contracts, that it will receive adequate protection consistent with generally recognised principles of personal information protection.

10. YOUR RIGHTS.

You may exercise any of the rights described in this section consistent with applicable law.

10.1 Your Rights.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • know whether we hold personal information about you and access it,
  • have inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information corrected,
  • have your information deleted, subject to our legal and contractual obligations,
  • receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format, or have it sent to another organisation,
  • withdraw your consent to optional uses, including analytics, targeted advertising and promotional messages,
  • be informed of automated decisions made about you and ask for a review by a person (section 4.2),
  • ask that information about you stop being disseminated or be de-indexed where the law allows, and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

10.2 Canada and Quebec Residents.

Your personal information is protected under applicable Canadian law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

10.3 United States Residents.

Learn more about the rights you may have under applicable state law in the United States Privacy Supplement (section 15).

10.4 How to Exercise Your Rights.

Contact our privacy officer at legal@quotengo.com or 1.877.647.0872. Requests are free. To protect you, we verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by confirming the email address or phone number on your account, and we may ask for more information if needed. You may use an authorised agent, who must provide your signed permission; we may still confirm the request with you directly. We respond within 30 days (45 days for requests under US state laws, which may be extended once as the law allows). If we cannot fully grant a request, we will explain why and how you can challenge our decision.

10.5 Complaints.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (Quebec residents), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your local data protection authority or state attorney general.

10.6 Withdrawing Consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw consent to information we need to provide a service, we may no longer be able to provide it, and we will tell you.

11. RETENTION.

11.1 Retention Periods.

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected and consistent with applicable law. Account data is kept for up to five years after your account is closed, and transaction records for seven years to meet financial and tax obligations. Records of your privacy choices are kept for as long as needed to show what you agreed to. When information is no longer needed, we destroy or anonymise it.

11.2 Residual Copies.

Because we take measures to protect data from accidental or malicious loss and destruction, residual copies of your personal information may remain in our backup systems for a limited period of time.

12. SECURITY.

While no organisation can guarantee perfect security, we implement and update administrative, technical and physical security measures to help protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, destruction or alteration, including encryption in transit and at rest and access limited to people who need it. We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will promptly notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law, and tell you what you can do to protect yourself.

13. CHILDREN.

The Quote n Go Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in accordance with applicable law. If we do, we will post the revised Privacy Policy and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. In case of material changes, we will also notify you by email at least thirty (30) days before the effective date and, where required, ask for your consent again. If you disagree with the revised Privacy Policy, you can close your account.

15. UNITED STATES PRIVACY SUPPLEMENT.
